Download Irma for Windows NT/2000. Navigate to http://irma.vestris.com/download/WinNT/ and download irma.4.0.WindowsNT-ix86.zip. You are also free to choose a current Irma beta version which always have the latest improvements from the live source tree. Windows NT for Dec Alpha is not supported, you must have an x86-based configuration.
Use WinZip, pkunzip or any other compression program to uncompress (unzip) irma.4.0.WindowsNT-ix86.zip into any directory. Several files will be extracted in the Irma.4.0 directory, among them the Irma executable, irma.exe .

Upload the irma.exe file into your cgi-bin directory. If you do not have a cgi-bin directory, please refer to your web server documentation about how to create one.
If you wish to use advanced Irma features, such as writing data files, make your cgi-bin directory is writable by IUSR_COMPUTERNAME (where COMPUTERNAME is replaced by your machine's name) if default permissions were modified prior to this installation.
Navigate to your cgi-bin directory using a browser. For example, http://www.server.com/cgi-bin/irma . Follow the instructions from the Chapter 2: Irma Quickstart Guide .
